Types, functions, precautions and features of stage lighting

1. Types: According to the light source used: incandescent lamps, fluorescent lamps, halogen tungsten lamps, neon lamps, laser lamps, metal halide lamps, etc.

According to the control method: manual control lamps, mechanical control lamps, voice-controlled lamps, program-controlled lamps, computer lamps, etc.

According to the softness and hardness of the light radiated by the lamps: spotlights and floodlights.

2. Functions, precautions and features:

① Spotlight: A lamp that can gather light together, with an adjustable light projection range and intensity, equipped with a reflector or convex lens that converges light. Maximize the use of radiated light energy to improve the overall efficiency of the light source. Often equipped with 1000-2000W reflective bulbs. Features: Good local lighting effect. It has a high degree of directionality, forming a well-defined shadow, which can show the surface contour and structure of the illuminated object, and is often used as top light and side light. Note: high temperature and high heat. The light itself only emits white light. To obtain a colorful effect, you need to add colored paper.

② Backlight: direct light source, there is no lens in front of the light, but there is a reflector behind the light. Features: The light can be shifted and focused. It has the function of focusing and diffusing light, with high power, high brightness and long range. It uses 1000-5000W quartz halogen tungsten bulbs and can be used for surface light and backlight.

③ Floodlight (also known as diffuse light): There is no focusing lens in front of the light and no reflector behind the light. The wide box forms a diffuse reflection concave surface, emitting scattered light with uniform illumination. Features: soft light, cannot focus, small range, large area, not easy to block, often used as sky curtain, ground curtain (background), 1250W bromine tungsten lamp tube.

④ Chasing light: long focal length, large range, slender light box. Mainly used for solo dance or solo singing. Make the character independent in a circle of light, chase or highlight the actor's shape, and produce local light spots. The size of the light spot can be changed to suit the needs of the performance. ⑤ Computer lights: with voice control, program control and other forms, with scanning, laser, swing, rotation, color change, multiple patterns, programmable and other functions. Usually more than four are used as a set, equipped with an independent control console. The biggest advantage: depending on the needs of the plot, multiple lights or multiple groups of lights can perform unified actions or different actions at the same time.
